Winter is here

Well we've had the first significant snow of the winter. Overnight from Wednesday into Thursday some local areas were covered by up to 6in (15cm) of snow. Looking outside all I can see from the house is white snow. More snow showers across the North East are expected overnight and forecasters said they would be heavy in places, particularly towards the coast and over the hills. Temperatures are expected to drop down as low as -4C (25F) leading to warnings of widespread icy roads. All in all a time to wrap up warm and snuggle down at home. Won't be venturing out unless its absolutely necessary this weekend.



I've just read that a man has been arrested following a burglary at a house not that far away from here after police officers followed footprints left in the snow.

Am feeling under the weather today. I've got a sore throat which came on over the weekend. Yesterday I had a full day of presentations at work which didn't help. So today I decided to work from home and get take it easy. I could rally do with this though to help me feel better:
