Can't access my Hotmail account

Well yesterday I tried to sign in to my Hotmail account.....it seems someone tried to guess my password and Hotmail has blocked me from logging in (even with the right password). What the hell is that all about? Microsoft looks stupid with these tactics. Does anyone know how I can fix it? I've tried asking Hotmail to fix it but haven't had a response from them. Its so damn frustrating. I'm not happy.
